How we calculate AI tool prices

AI Price Lab converts plans, credits and usage units into cost-per-task estimates. We explain the formula and its limits rather than promise an exact bill.

1. Pricing source

We use the provider’s official pricing page or documentation and link it when available.

2. Comparable unit

We translate tokens, credits, seconds, images or operations into a unit relevant to the selected task.

3. Consumption estimate

We estimate duration, volume and typical retries. Users can adjust the assumptions shown.

4. Deterministic calculation

A fixed browser-side formula performs the arithmetic. AI may estimate usage but does not create or change rates.

5. Editorial review

We display review dates and update data when changes are detected.

What may change the result

Taxes, currency, region, annual discounts, promotions, provider rounding and pricing changes after our review date.
